APPLICATION AREAS FOR IONIZING RADIATION

Development of technologies and application of complexes using these technologies to treat various products, substances and materials with E-beam and X-Ray:

  • Phytosanitary treatment of food products by commercial enterprises, as well as government agencies in the implementation of food security programmes.
  • Sterilization of medical devices, food packaging and other products.
  • Cleaning of gases, substances and materials from chemically poisonous substances, viruses and pathogens.
  • Production of polymer and other products with high chemical-physical properties, etc.

An E-beam (i.e. electron beam) consists of a stream of electrons accelerated to high speeds.

They carry a negative charge and have a small mass, allowing them to accelerate rapidly under electric fields. This acceleration results in high-energy beams capable of performing intricate tasks in technology and research.

An X-Ray (i.e. Röntgen radiation) is a form of high-energy electromagnetic radiation with photons that carry enough energy to ionize atoms and disrupt molecular bonds. This makes it a type of ionizing radiation, impacting living and non-living tissues.
